Collection: blue screen / green screen

Green and blue box sails, or fabric also known as green and blue box material, are used to subsequently place people or objects in front of a background. With the so-called green/blue screen technique, the person is first photographed in front of a green or blue box sail. In the next step, the person is isolated by removing the single-colored background and can then be placed in front of the desired background.

Of course, you can assume that our Green and Bluebox sails are flame retardant according to DIN 4102 B1. They are normally made from CS nettle, but are also available in Molton and have a grammage of 200 - 300 g/m².

Green or blue box fabric is used in film and television production. People or objects are filmed against a blue or green background. The blue or green background is then replaced with the actual desired background.

In our shop, you can purchase Bluebox and Greenbox fabrics in both Molton and Trevira CS. The Trevira CS version features dyed fibers, which gives this fabric a particularly even texture.

If you're looking for fabric for particularly difficult applications or tasks, we recommend our Rabenring STRETCH Flex. The fabrics in the Stretch Flex range are particularly stretchy.

Do you need custom-made fabrics? Many of the fabrics available in our online shop can be custom-made for an additional charge. If you would like to take advantage of this service, simply contact us by phone or email.

Buy a green screen and reduce production costs
In the so-called blue box technique, people stand in front of a blue background and are filmed. A different background is later inserted into the blue area, making it appear as if the person was in that environment during filming. To achieve this, you'll need to purchase a blue screen. However, Molton green screen can also be used. Green screen is sometimes inexpensive, as a green background allows the people being filmed to wear clothing in all shades of blue.

There's no consensus among experts as to which color is the better choice. Purchasing a modern green screen can be particularly worthwhile if you're using modern video cameras. For technical reasons, this results in better image quality. On the other hand, you can purchase material for a blue screen if you want the subject to stand out clearly from the background. Blue tones are very rare on the human body and are therefore particularly well suited for this process.

Buy high-quality green screen
Depending on their needs, creative professionals can purchase the right green screen fabric. Individual items vary in size and material thickness. In addition to Molton green screen, Trevira CS is also available. The range also includes a particularly stretchy, highly durable version. This opens up numerous options when purchasing material for a green screen. Green screen can be ordered conveniently and affordably online!

Purchasing a green screen also offers photographers the opportunity to become even more creative. Portraits of people or animals can be given a striking background design. This technology can also be used to create original advertising photos. Simply purchase a green screen, equip your photo studio with it, and edit the photos accordingly – and you'll have modern, effective images!
